reality check

Singapore countdown: 3 effing days :( :( :(
Kidding... half kidding. All I know is I'm downright not ready for school, though I'm itching to be productive again. BUT, I'm all for getting my independence back. Money money money.. Lol, I kid.
On a random note, I'm in love with Greek food or anything Mediterranean tasting. Dinner with Mandi last night at Cafe Med was lovely, although I wasn't as much of a pig as she was. HAHA, I love you Mandirt and our endless conversations! Something I always look forward to with friends. Tomorrow marks my last day out... too surreal!

And OH, I got myself a new haircut today and ugghhh, not digging it. I swear, little things like salon failures seriously ruin my day.

Feast your eyes on my creative juices on screen.
(sarcasm involved)

thank you, michael

I was never really an MJ fan until the sick news came out that he was dead. It's sad and I wish I pushed myself to get to know more of him and his music, because watching every single news channel out there giving tribute to him and now the live memorial on cnn, he really appears to be such a LEGEND. Was and still is. I'm grateful though that I at least know some of his songs and have been living and breathing them these past couple of days. It's so odd how he's had so much impact on me lately. I guess it's the very fact that he's gone... The King of Pop. BUT, I know he'll live forever through his music and wise words of love and change, and the world being one.

I love you MJ and although I was never a fan from the beginning, I'll forever be your PRETTY YOUNG THING. You're def a part of me (:

let's get out of this country

Never thought I could say this (not in this lifetime), but I'm starting to get sick of life. Life.. people, faces, words, talk, everyone. Things are pretty much the same in this side of the globe, and maybe that's the problem. It's always been the same... Well, I might take these words back in no time since I'll be off to Singapore in 8 effing days buuuut I'll def be missing home (family esp). It's time for a breath of fresh air... Not that Singapore is the place to be, but I'd rather be anywhere but here. Maybe just for tonight... couple of days, I don't know. It's not like I have any other option.

I just hope this last stretch (make it a year) of school will be good. Must stay away from trouble..zzz.

Sometimes... most times rather,
the only person I can EVER rely on is myself.

These Acne gladiators are so hot. Love, love the red.

Anywho, visited Taft today which was my first time seeing friends after god knows when and yup, still not a fan of the atmosphere there. Passed by Mandi's after since it was her bday and was on house arrest due to her illness... I love, love you Mandirt! Catching up and NORWEIGIAN smoked salmon talk... HAHA, the best! Your obsession is truly amusing.

.......and off I go!

Greek fest

Today was quite lovely.
I went to lunch with my dad at this Mediterranean restaurant- Sophia's at West Gate. We ordered humus+ yogurt dip w/ pita and same main course- lamb kebab with vinaigrette dressed salad+ 3 types of sauces. Yummmmm. The kebab was heavenly, 2nd best to the one I've tasted in Arab street in Sg. I was so full that I had to skip dessert. Went home to nap and was seriously the best nap in ages! The weather was just... aaahhhhh. No words can even describe. Too bad it'll turn out to be a typhoon later tonight though. Apart from the soon to be bad weather, the virus outbreak is scaring the shit out of me :O

random: this semi cute waiter flashed a smile at me while taking my order, embarrassed- i totally knocked off my utensils from the table. FML

work with me

Woke up at 10:15 this morning for the first time, in weeks... and actually had breakfast- fresh mushroom omelette and apple juice. Clearly not a morning person but I have this 2-point list I've sort of forced myself into- Start a healthy lifestyle and no more getting drunk at any event where booze is involved. With that you can tell what kind of life I have already, HAHA. Believe it or not, it's alot of work for me. Mandi's party this weekend will be the true test of my discipline, considering I've been sober for more than 2 weeks now.

NITE CLUB- GOOD LIFE (KANYE WEST COVER)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GE! Embrace the big 2-0! It's funny how you said you wanted to keep nineteenhood around for another year but will eventually have to tell people the truth by the time you turn 21.

There's something about leaving your teenage years behind
.

I remember being in a serious relationship and thinking to myself that at some point, I've finally matured. Yes, do laugh out loud. I'd given up on partying and the "funstuff". Fuck, I was only 18/19?? It's either I was trying a little too hard to grow up or just going insane... trapped and blinded by love. HAHA. I don't think I can ever go back to thinking that way anymore...not for now at least.
Now is too good. So many things are happening, I'm not ready to miss out again.

Now
isn't perfect... not even close, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

your homegirl

Been on house arrest for 2 weeks already and so far, my accomplishments are the ff: visited the doctor, some impulse shopping, an extremely painful facial and today I bought all seasons of how I met your mother, so as to keep sane if ever I continue being house bound. What a life...

It's weird how I intend to keep a public journal for all my puzzling thoughts, yet I always have this need of being a little too discrete. Because I'm afraid? So afraid that one day you might actually stumble upon this, only to find out that most of my thoughts are about you. I've been running a mental marathon, I wish you are too. What I'm happy to find out though is that you are human.

flashbacks

It was such a strange feeling... seeing your face and that smile I haven't seen for so long. I wonder if it was a genuine one. I hope so, because at the sight of that image, I felt calm.. I hope you're doing well in all your endeavors.

On another note, I think I've gotten my thoughts straight on something that's been messing with my head (and sleep) lately. Will write it when I'm ready.

dear friend,

If I said I want you back I'd be a liar

There's nothing left of us to long for anymore
But inside the ashes burns an endless fire
And every night I can't help reaching out for more

What now?

tell me where it all went wrong

I promise hidden words of tenderness
in every single line that I write

Trapped in your terror dizzy spells...

2 am

Once she found a man to treasure
and together they'd planted flowers of warning, fearing frost.
Late on the shallow evenings while their enemies slept,
they hammered the soil asking for answers in green.
His value declined when he offered his name. Why did he offer?

A random friend from school recently told me to listen to the band Metric and the one song that I'm pretty much drawn to is Rock me now. The lyrics are pretty awesome and probably one of the best spoken word songs today.

METRIC- ROCK ME NOW
